Learn every piece step by step, then play the computer.
How to play
•Learn mode: pick a lesson (Pawn, Knight, Bishop, Rook, Queen, King, Check, Full board). Click any piece and every legal move lights up — a cyan dot is a quiet move, a red ring is a capture.
•Each lesson has a small goal, such as promoting a pawn, capturing all targets, castling, or delivering checkmate. Finish it to unlock the next lesson.
•Game mode: you play White against the computer. Choose Beginner, Club or Coach.
•Use the 'Show my moves' button when you are stuck — the coach highlights a strong piece and where it should go.
•Losing a game costs one life; a draw is safe.

Scoring & lives
•Learn mode: +80 for every lesson goal completed.
•Game mode: your score tracks your material advantage, with a bonus for higher difficulty.
•Winning a game: +500, plus +250 for each difficulty step.
•You have 3 lives. Each mistake costs one life — lose all three and the run ends.

Tip:Piece values: pawn 1, knight and bishop 3, rook 5, queen 9 — trade only when you gain. Open with a centre pawn, develop knights and bishops, then castle your king to safety. Before every move, ask: is anything of mine attacked, and what did my opponent just threaten?
